We operate a small-scale R&amp;D laboratory using high-pressure systems to explore and optimize these processes.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We are hiring a Junior Laboratory Technician to support our team. This position is designed for individuals early in their technical career who are interested in gaining hands-on experience with specialized laboratory and high-pressure equipment in a supervised environment.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Assist in the operation of bench-scale high-pressure equipment for supercritical fluid processes<\/li><li>Assist with troubleshooting equipment and process issues<\/li><li>Assist with maintenance, adjustments, and minor modifications of lab equipment<\/li><li>Perform end-of-run cleanup, waste handling, and lab organization<\/li><li>Prepare and analyze experimental samples<\/li><li>Maintain clear and accurate experimental records and documentation<\/li><li>Update and maintain standard operating procedures and safety documentation<\/li><\/ul><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Education and Experience<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Background in laboratory work through education, research, and\/or employment<\/li><li>No prior experience with high-pressure process equipment is required but would be an advantage<\/li><li>Completion of a laboratory technician\/technologist or related program is considered an asset<\/li><\/ul><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Candidates with non-traditional or diverse career pathways who have the required aptitude and interest are welcome to apply.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Skills<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Willingness and ability to learn operation of high-pressure equipment in a supervised setting<\/li><li>Willingness and ability to learn operation of analytical instrumentation<\/li><li>Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot laboratory equipment and experimental processes<\/li><li>Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures<\/li><li>Commitment to safe laboratory practices<\/li><li>Ability to learn quickly and apply training<\/li><li>Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain accurate experimental records and ensure a clean, organized workspace<\/li><li>Proficiency with spreadsheets and word processing software for documentation and reporting<\/li><\/ul><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>What You Will Learn<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Safe operation of a high-pressure supercritical fluid extraction system<\/li><li>Hands-on experimental design and execution in an R&amp;D environment<\/li><li>Sample preparation, processing, and documentation workflows<\/li><li>Practical troubleshooting of laboratory and experimental equipment<\/li><\/ul><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Additional Information<\/strong><\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is a hands-on experimental role in a startup environment.
